The Der Chantecoq Lake ... The Sea of Champagne

A top destination for thousands of tourists each year, the lake of Der, filled in 1974 after 10 years of titanic work, at 4000 hectares is the largest artificial lake in Europe.

The laker offers many nautical activities such as swimming and fishing, and in December 2014 the Casino in Giffaumont was opened.

Try tree climbing, boat and bicycle rental, water skiing, towed buoy or a simple trip on one of the boat trips to discover the history of the lake.
